    Lot of people squat like that, particularly in Asia. Saw lots of people doing that in the Middle East also. I think they squat like that often in Italy as well. I am unsure if it's a poverty thing or a lower class thing.

    my moms side is slavic and I do the slav squat all the time! Especially when waiting for my kid to get out of school. I am the only adult doing it, LOL!
