Feds to open and add to the nfa books!

Woo hoo. Got to spend the day with a guy who works for Norrell. Got to check out a mp5 in 45 that's getting a happy pack that's going on the nfa books transferable. Maybe the price will come down a little. I was told over 750 guns will be added to the NFA list.

Taken from a website offering some of these already.i

    hmmm

brokered and are not third party sales. Firearm in this ad will be transferred to a class III dealer on an ATF form 3.
John Norrell has been a licensed manufacturer and dealer (C-2/C-3) for 35 years and is currently an officer of the U.S. Federal Court appointed in the role as a Special Master administrator to liquidate NFA firearms released directly to us by ATF under court order. All NFA rules apply.

And likely flipped at a 250% markup.

So exactly how is this working? Is this the feds allowing Norrel to register 750 new builds, or is this he's been sitting on sears, tubes and the like and is letting them go?

Sadly this conversation is too expensive and disappointing for me. Someone call me if the Hughes amendment is ever rightfully undone.

It'll drop some prices a bit, there's not that many transferable guns out there. The number I've seen is a little under 180k transferable, there's more dealer pre-dealer samples and post guns than there are transferable.
It'll effect prices a little in that there will just be more guns up for purchase than anything else, so common ones wont go for the premium price every time like they've been going.

I'm more interested in how these came about, if they are new weapons that have been allowed to have been built and registered, if they're pre-86 weapons coming in on police trade ins, etc. Inquiring minds want to know. If they're opening up the book for some amnesty period or something then I want in on it and want to build every kit I have.

    Aye.

Frankly they should at the very least change it to allow some new transferable firearms to be created. Even something like "One per person every 10 years" would be cool.

Hopefully this will turn into something more. Can you imagine the fire sale on previously priced out of the market firearms?
