Should an original Bulgarian AK 74 have a side rail for optics??

Looking at a Bulgarian AK 74 kit built by James River Arms. It does not have a side rail mount for optics, Im no export and if it should or not have the rail I prefer that it be historically correct. What do you gus think??

Not all AK-74s had the optics rail.

Only East German put a rail on every 74 rifle.

Bulgarian did put rails on a significant number of 74 rifles, but not all.

Was it the later rifles that mostly had rails?

I studied tBulgarian deacts and Stott photos, but really can't determine if there was a systematic application to the rails or not.

Surplus Bulgarian rails are available on gunbroker.

This seller seems to have a number of original rails.

I don't know when they started attaching optics rails, but for that matter, I'm not even clear on when Bulgarian AK74 production began. '85? '86? Earliest trunnion I've seen in person had a "27" ('87) serial prefix.
We've got a hell of a lot more in common with the fellow citizens we're being trained to hate than the puppetmasters training us to hate them.

Bulgy 74 production started in '84...I don't know if there is any definitive way to determine when they started to use rails and with what frequency they were installed...I've done a little business with Capital12 (from MPiKM-72's post) on GB and they're great to deal with...
