Be patient, I'm pretty sure he's looking around for a box cutter.

Though the VEPR 12 I got is NICE, it isn't that. 10Guage is on the right track. I just don't want to take crappy pics since when I get off work the sun isn't that great.

How many times has that box been used? I assume the contents don't look much better.

    Not that interesting

Sorry guys, work has been "hectic" the past few days. I also have family coming in who do not share the hobby. I also apologize because it isn't anything as nice or as interesting like a Hi-Point carbine. It's just a MPi-AKS-74NK clone built by Two Rivers Arms.

I've been wanting a clone of this rifle for probably over 10 years. I've never seen nor heard of an actual "NK" kit so I knew all parts likely had to be cobbled together from regular 74 kits. Remember, there was a time when there was no JMAC combo gas block/sight base so that was the most difficult to overcome.

I was going to use an East German barrel but after speaking with TRA, they said in the chance it might not fit, you don't want to have a wasted DDR barrel so I went with a Bulgarian (I didn't have a problem sacrificing one). I bought a separate Tantal gas block to use for the bayonet lug.

The 74 kit was actually ever so slightly battle field pickup. The top cover had a big dent in it and it had slight finish wear, as did the rear sight leaf. TRA did an excellent job getting the dent out.

I'd like to give them extra commendations for not just great build work but being so friendly and excellent with communication. The guys there will just call and talk to you about your project, along with the weather and whatever else. I've used them several times before and definitely again in the future.
