    AK ID help

I picked this up the other day. I've looked everywhere and can't find any post of this specific model. Some features are close, but not exact. I found one other like it on an auction site, but no model number.

it's most likely IZ-132 pretty sure all 7.62x39 that came in were this model
    IZ-114 was .223 an IZ-240 was 5.45

on the surface seems like a quality conversion, although it's a mishmash of parts.
somebody was building a tacticool AK. it was popular pass time back in the day when saigas were $299.
those sporting FCG hole welds are well done, thus my conclusion that it was done by a smith not DIY guy in the basement.

Looks like some kind of FAL trigger setup, haven't seen that before on an AK.

Anyone willing to hazard a guess on it's value? The trigger is pretty nice. Never seen one like it. Hate the gas tube rail and stock, but most of all is the pistol grip. If Walmart did carry AK parts, this grip would be in stock.

it's hard to say. depends on the buyer i guess. I personally wouldn't lett it go for anything less than $850-900. But i would list it at $1200 in classifieds and let it sit for a month before lowering the price.
like i said, all parts are quality despite being a mish-mash and work was done by a qualified individual.

trigger is just a resular tapco g3 with re-welded straight bow on it and set-screw to prevent overtravel. i bet that ting shoots real nice and fast.

it's easy enough to flip it back into military config.

all you need is a standard a-74 gas tube, gas block and front sight. swapping out stock and pistol-grip is 5-minute job. selector lever you can keep or swap depending on your preference.

saiga is an outstanding AK. you won't find better gun than original russian izhevsk-built rifle. i personally would convert it back to .mil config and keep it, not sell it, especially if you picked it up for a nice price to begin with.

Engraved 'Legion.' Did they do a conversion that removed the FSB and replaced it with a combo block? Everything else is plug-n-play. My guess is that it is a Legion conversion, and perhaps a prior owner did the gas tube, trigger, and stock swap.

That's what has me confused. "Legion Trade Izhevsk Russia Arsenal Las Vegas NV USA" I thought that this was unique to the SGL series. Also, the only T111xxxxx serial number I could find was on an SGL. I think I made out pretty good, but when I saw Legion on the receiver, I was pretty excited especially since I was only out 2 Turkish Mausers and $500. I would like to have it back in its Mil Config. Thanks for all the help. The experts never disappoint.
