Very nice! I know the feeling about 400m holds. The Czech/Persian rifles sights all start at 300m. What ammo are you using with yours? I've had pretty good success with PPU 198 FMJBT. It's supposed to be pretty close to the sS load, but a little slower.

Not at this time, but thanks anyway. I've read multiple reports about issues with reliability and feeding.

Next time out I'll take a few pics of my 03A3 that was rebuilt. I need to get that one out more often. I used to have an example like yours, but got rid of it due to some issues I could not fix.

I only did a quick search of it and it seems like the repros had German markings as well so I'm not sure. It looks too good to be surplused but .....????

Any problem can be solved with the proper application of high explosives, the trick is to not be around when they go off.

    German K98 Mauser Rifle

German K98 GI bring-back (my grandfather). All matching serial numbers except for the cleaning rod (mixed up during cleaning).

Grand dad gave it to me when I was 16 (well over 40 years ago). Lost the front site hood when I was a kid, otherwise I have kept it altogether.

Sling is a repro. Rifle is a "CE" (J.P. Sauer & Son, Suhl). Dated 1941. Duffel cut is present on the hand guard. Was drilled and pinned with a dowel years ago to make it stable.

A few? You still need to consider writing a book, or collaborating with someone who is. OGCA in November?

I use standard milsurp, mostly from Yugoslavia. I'll never run out, and have not even come close to tapping into the Yugo M75, or the Portuguese ball yet.

I need to take this one out again and wring it out better. I think the groups started to shrink up last time out, but I was out of ammo. Next time out will be Russian yellow tip and Yugo heavy ball.

    lol...He always does..

Now if we could get him to write a book, turn the yacht into a floating museum or take-over a small country where we could all live in peace...

    ...that would be nice
