    >Vepr, Saiga,or M77?

I'm thinking of picking a .308 in an AK style platform. Which one would you guys go with? I like the price of the Zastava M77 and the money I will save for added parts in the future, but I love the wood stocks on the Vepr rifles! Suggestions??

I have m77. Cant go wrong with it for price. Just make sure u get mags from csspecs. Great quality mags. Only place in usa that makes aftermarket m77 mags that im aware of. Id post a pic of it if i can figure out how.

If you want a 7.62 battle rifle in a budget pick up a PTR-91 GI and 50 mags. Cheap and easily available hi-caps, accurate, reliable as an AK, and will last you a lifetime.....

With the exception that the PTR/G3 is heavy and a pain to add optics to.

Finally! I put m77 on there. I cut muzzlenut off and it has 14x1 lefthand threads. I put razorbrake on it. I used an aluminum slant block adapter to straighten receiver. Also put ace stock made of aluminum. If u go ace stock , realize there is 3 sizes. 7, 8 1/2, & 9 1/2. I believe those r the sizes. Csspecs mags are a must for the m77. The 10rnd factory mags are junk. For the value it is hard to beat this rifle. Also new triggergroup in mine. Usually the gas setting should b on 2.

I have an M77, great rifle. Also looking at getting a Vepr too. Either one would be a good choice.

The way things are now I would go for the M77 .
