R.I.P. I shall have a drink in your honor tonight when I get home M.K. You changed the world. Some would say for the worse, but if you didn't do it, someone else would have. RESPECT.

He saw what was needed in a combat weapon and never lost sight of that when he was designing what would become the greatest infantry weapon ever made. Simple, strong, reliable, and it accomplished it's mission. RIP Mr. Kalashnikov we will always respect you. Even for those countries whose military did not adopt the AK your rifle set the standard by which all others are measured for getting the basic job done.

Unfortunately in life, all things must pass. Not all people can leave a legacy such that at the mere mention of your name everyone knows what you are talking about. May the great soldier who invented cared so much for his country that he developed what is arguably a great homeland defense weapon rest in the peace in heaven that his creation was supposed to bring on earth.

May this brilliant designer who answered his own country's call for service, and rose to the occasion like no other, rest in peace. Long will he be remembered.
