Interesting. With all the companies out there making piston ARs that still require a buffer, tube and spring, I'm kind of surprised no one else has simply stretched the receiver to produce something like the HAC.
The AR was designed what- in the 1950's? A weapon so advanced for the "nuclear age", complete with space age aluminum, plastics, and an amazing gas system that "recycles" it's carbon back into the receiver. It truly was a weapon ahead of it's time, or at least, was designed when people thought the weapon was ahead of it's time. A space gun for the future and it's still here.
The HAC was the SCAR before the SCAR....

Would it be safe to assume that all patents have expired on this rifle?
guns cause crime, the TEC 9 was drivin while the UZI was shootin and the AK47 was flashin gang signs
Main thing to ask is the "statue of limitations expired' as it was tied into the arming the Contras mess.
I like how it was early cnc designed and made and they could do mirror image left handed ones. I had one of the left handed ones on order when they went belly up. It used the original AR-10 mags that they sold to Reed Knight for his SR 25. Bought the mags for $.25 each from Holloway and sold them for $100.00 each! Now that business. LOL
