We sometimes ran little Hyundai SUVs from our base into Baghdad when we needed a low key, quick turnaround trip. Could hit 80mph fully loaded, with the idea being you could outrun surveillance teams on the highway before they could radio ahead.
Worked great, until you get stuck in a traffic jam. Then you feel like a sitting duck.

We just crossed over the median and went the wrong way down the other side when traffic backed up.

Here, people would crap themselves, crash, and die if you did that. Over there, it's like they expect it. They just get out of the way and let you go by.
