Am I still welcome around the AK world?

    Hey guys,

Ol jnewt here. Just wanted to touch base with everyone on a couple things. Most of you prob know me but some of the newer guys might only know of my last years worth of business. I know I have made some mistakes and got in way over my head this last year. What a learning experiance that has been. I would just like to appoligize to everyone that I kept waiting for their builds for so long. I am deeply sorry for that. and hope you guys will allow me to be an active member of the group agian.

I am only two rifles from being caught completely up and I am only awaiting a order of rivets to finish them. I have started taking new work BUT with the following changes to prevent my last years worth of business form ever showing its evil slow face agian...lol... First, I will only be working on one customers rifle or rifles at a time. This means there will never be someones job sitting on my shelf waiting. Second, builds will have a 2 week turnaround guarantee. If its not done in two weeks from the time I receive the goods, its free. Third, no cash up front. Payment can be made when the rifle is complete, be it 2 days or two weeks. No pay till work is complete.

Krink, if you guys do not wish me to be a member feel free to delete the post. I will understand. Again guys, I appolize for the long delay on completing work this last year.

    Thanks a ton,

    J. Newton

Im one of the ones that waited for ... well almost 2 years total so I feel I have a much right as any "non-krink" person to have a say.
Jnewt you are a great builder and even though it took time you did as you promised with a great rifle just a couple weeks ago. In my opinion you are welcome and a great source of information to new builders. As long as you do as you are planning with one 2 week job at a time I think you will do good business. Welcome to the board, and thanks again for finally getting me my toy.

I have a good friend who waited a very long time and when he got his rifle it was not very well done. As far as being welcome, you didn't out and out rip anyone off that I know of, so my .02 is you can stay but welcome.....hummmmm.... I will reserve my judgement and see how you do from now on.

Who was it and what rifle was it? If it was not very well done I never heard anything and I would be happy to fix anything that is not satisfactory with it.

I for one have never missed a deadline or screwed up on ANYTHING. Wait, that's not right. Oops, I'm human and have done all of those things.

Welcome. Nothing wrong with learning from mistakes and moving forward. I hope the business goes well and I may send you some work in the future.

Thats what I like about this place compaired to other boards. I have yet to see someone here that is a self-proclaimed expert, and every one is nature, (except for me  ) and respects one another. And now you've all proven you can forgive and forget.
