WW2 pictures found in a box

After my father passed away late last year my mother found these pictures in a old box.Only he knew about them.He served in the 11 Airborne Division in the pacific theater mostly during the occupation of Japan. He was around 18 years of age in most of these pictures.

The WW2 vets are passing away in ever quicker numbers as time marches on they answered the call and will not be forgotten.I sure do miss him.

Awesome Stuff, Some of those pics are difficult to take, even with today's tiny digital cameras.

Imagine snapping a brownie right before bailing out of a plane.

Nice! You should consider putting these in a photograph album with other pics of your Dad, as well as some typed or written stories about him for your children.

Nice stuff! It is amazing how much gear the had on when getting flung out of a working plane.

That's being worked by me and my sister.

After the war apparently he gave singing a try.

Isn't that the unit that jumped on and re-took Corregidor? If so he saw some INTENSE action.

You have every right to be VERY proud of him.
