Damn good shot...then again, Pythons always shot well.

Thought it was great because it was a great view of the human aspect so far. The father/son combo he runs across was really interesting.

This has to be one the bloodiest shows on a non-premium cable channel out there. I mean - a head shot is a head shot - they don't leave anything to the imagination.

To say nothing about the end the horse met in Atlanta - bummer - I was staring to like that horse.

    Because it's ridiculous..

If the show or movie is based in 'reality'... then they wouldn't want to acknowledge that all the shit that's happening to them was alluded to in works of 'fiction'. I take great interest in seeing how some movies introduce the basically 'invincible' zombie... even if you chop it to pieces and destroy the brain...it'll still come after you. I reject that notion on several scientific counts... but still.. and then there's the relatively new concept of being able to circumvent a lethal, zombifying bite by chopping off the offending limb. It happened in one of the 'dead' movies where they're in the underground base...but it's happened more prominently in 'the walking dead' graphic novel...

makes a weird sort of sense, really. It's sort of a "NO NO NOOOOOOOOO...! NO FUCKING WAY THIS IS HAPPENING"...and that humans still have some sort of control over their world....even when that world is overrun with the living dead...something that should NEVER exist in nature...

and yet it does... in some very real aspects...

But what do I know... I'm half drunk

    Re: The Walking Dead

Episode 1 was fantastic. Easily the best zombie production, TV or film, I've seen. Needless to say, I have high hopes for this series.

    Re: The Walking Dead

I liked it as escapist entertainment, but the lead character kind of grated on me after a while.
I understand that it might take some time to get over the initial shock of the new reality, but come on. The guy comes across as fairly stupid.
I mean, once he crawls into the M1 via its belly hatch (which an M1 doesn't have, but an M60 does) it takes him an inordinate amount of time to figure out that he might want to close the top hatch before the zombies eat him. Duh.

    Re: The Walking Dead

    I liked it a lot.

But my effin DVR crapped itself during the first quarter. I had to watch the rest of it in SD in the bedroom. I'll need to get a copy of this, no telling how long it will be before it goes to disc.

It was okay but lacked any explanation how the crisis began and how it spread so fast while he was in a coma. There were a few gaps.
