just for shits and giggles..whats the first Eastern bloc gun you every owned?
I'll start it..it was 1984 I bought a minty Russian SKS......when I paid for it..the gun shop owner laughed at me and said good luck finding that "commie" ammo. I just shrugged my shoulders and walked out with my cool "new" gun.....and damnit if he wasn't right...for the next few years all I could get was Norma 7.62x39 at about 13.00 bucks a box of 20
times have changed

Chinese SKS bought about 90-91.
Traded it for a holly carberator.
It seemed like a good trade at the time
I honestly can't remember if was a Clayco underfolder or a Chinese SKS with spike bayonet.
In either case it was 1989.
I had them both at the same time, I just can't remember which came first.

well I had wanted one since I was a kid, but never had anyone to mentor me in. So when I decided to finally buy one, I lurked on several of the forums, reading and learning. My first AK was a bulgarian milled, I guess I allways new , I was" twisted by the Darkside"..........

Can you dig it?
Soviet SKS..pickedup while they were being imported. Sold it for major bucks when they stopped . I did have a chance in 89 to pick up Chinese AK's cheap. Right after the Stockton shooting. Local shop had them on sale cheap w/a case of ammo. Like an idiot I didn't want that "cheap chinese junk"

That Yugo is a great rifle! It makes every trip to the range with me.

I traded it for a Glock 17 on a whim.
Mine was an FEG CZ-75 clone about 10 years ago. I never even fired it as it was part of a massive trade for one of my Bushy Pre Bans. Even after a good hour of cleaning, the trigger and action still felt like they were made out of sandstone. Then 10 years later I bought a WASR 10. THAT was a great rifle for the $$.
