    East German paratrooper comabt knife/dagger

I am trying to find one of the DDR issued combat knives that was worn by the DDR paratroops on their jump trousers. Any idea how much I might expect to pay for one of these items? Not the wooden handled blunt tipped parachute shroud line cutter but the double edged stiletto looking blade with the brown bakelite handle.

    Thanks for any help.

I would not trust one of those knives coming from Taiwan as it might be a fake. Real DDR Para knives have an insulated handle that's marked 5000V. I'll try and get a few pics of mine posted.

The one in the ebay auction has the small black plate marked 500v. See the third photo. I'm aware that there are fakes of these knifes but AFAIK they don't have bakelite handles.

Not to insult your intelligence but are you sure it is 500V instead of 5000V? All the pics I have seen seem to say 500V and the one my buddy has that he got in Germany says 500V. I guess it there could be different markings though I don't know enough either way myself?

You may be correct about them being marked 500V. Its been years since I've had mine out.
