This thread made me realize that PTR made G3K pistols. Seriously tempted to track one of these suckers down to SBR.

I don't own a PTR, but I've shot kslay1988's and loved it. Definitely need to add one to the collection.

I remember seeing those pistols for sale. Never could understand that...a 308 pistol.

While the pistols have a cool factor, reducing the velocity of 7.62 NATO round to something more closely matching 7.62x39 but at twice the cost per trigger pull just doesn't seem that much fun.

    I'd rather have a PTR-32 pistol if I needed a pistol.

I think OP is just seeing the gun market in a slow time period.

I almost went with PTR in 2011 but in the end found the right deal on my 1974 HK91. One of these days I'll get the HK and the FMP pars import in a photograph together.

The market is flooded with firearms right now, and prices are dropping all the time. All the people that bought 6 ARs, 12 Glocks, and a host of other firearms thinking they might cash in if an anti gun president got elected, are trying to unload said firearms, so its a buyers market.

Sure. I just prefer a rifle with more precision.

    Used a HK51K for a 3 gun night competition...

Wasn't fun even with a competent flashhider.
    But was reliable.

I love my PTR. Now just refer to it as my G3
I can't find a green HK style fore stock for it, for the life of me!
Buddy of mine has the pistol version lives up in wild man country and is in a vehicle a lot. Loves the crap out of his.
I'm going to turn mine into a patrol designated rifle!

The regular ones are all over the place, Numrich has the wide ones in green.

I think I got mine from RTG back a couple years ago.

I'm in the Tampa Fl area. So, how much do you actually want for it and the mags? I have 2 but mine are both black. A green furniture one might be cool. I love the platform itself.

Never cared for roller-delayed actions in .308 unless its a heavy enough rig to damp the horrible recoil. I can shoot a FAL all day, but 30 rounds through a standard HK91-type action is miserable.

    Generally, this.
More specific to the PTR, the roller market is flooded and PTR is at the top of the heap for inexpensive roller delay guns. There are simply too many players on the field. They recently got into the 9mm game, too. Their prices are inline with or less than other major players so they are adding numbers and lowering the value of the type. Less rare, less expensive.

It's a good time to be a buyer in the firearms market. STock up, the dark days will return.

I don't "run" my guns or "run" anything on them. Likewise, none of my guns are "platforms".

The prices on them have gone down just as the prices on AR-10 pattern guns have gone down. And just as, mentioned above, all prices have come down (except HKs and FNs, those are for people who hate money).

I'm buying shit right now, not selling. I've gotten some decent deals on used stuff ever since Trump came into office, and hope to continue that for a while, or until the next panic.
