Anyone have experience with this stock?

I have a colt A4 that I put a primary arms 2.5x scope on (have it on the carry handle at the moment, KAC rear sight is in the mail).
A2 stocks are long as hell. It's not so long that I can't get the eyebox, but it's close. If I put a heavy jacket on, it'll be a bear.
I always liked the Diemaco C7, and was wondering if this stock is any good. And if this sight is reputable.

    Thanks!

I have no experience with manufacturer of the stock you have in the link but I’ve used that design of stock. I personally prefer the six position M-4 verson of the collapsable stock. The commercial buffer tube M-4 style stock like supplied on RRA AR-15’s have a longer length of pull than a similar stock with mil spec buffer tube.

I’ve seen the original CAR stock with the appearance in your link with just open and closed positions. I’ve also seen the four position buffer tubes used with the CAR pattern stock. I prefer the larger butt pad on the M-4 stock as it is very similar in shape and size to A-2 fixed stock.

Really boils down to personal preference but link indicates the stock is milspec so the buffer and buffer spring should be gtg.

The stock in the link is very pricey and I’d prefer to use the polymer stock as it is much more comfortable in the heat or cold. Brownell’s list the CAR stock which would be a lot cheaper. Brownell’s is out of stock but can the stock can probably be found at other retailers.

Personally, I'd roll with a B5 SOPMOD stock if I was going to change out from an A2 stock. I have both the Bravo and the Enhanced on a couple AR15s and the Bravo is good if one doesn't need storage and needs to save weight.

I'm digging that B5 stock, I may just go that route and save some coin.

Tonyscustoms is a decent company I met the guy at a military vehicle show and WWII re enactment and he was more than fair on his prices.
I bought a 20 in AR pencil ish barrel and Vietnam era A1 hand guards from him. The barrel is a 1X9 twist so I can shoot the heavier bullets out of my A1 clone.
I also like the Rogers Super Stock if you can find one of those.
The CAR stock is usually fitted with a 2 position buffer tube but I prefer the 4 position.

Thanks, decided to keep the fixed stock. After mounting up the scope and back up iron sight, eye relief is fine.
Good to know it's on the up & up for future reference.

I still think the aluminum CAR stock is badass. Maybe down the road if I have enough money for an Elcan to make a C7 clone....

I may get the Aluminum repro one for my SBR or use it on another carbine build.
My original SP1 had the aluminum stock with the rubberized coating so the repro if not coated I can do a plastidip coating on it easily.
