I love mine.......if you can believe all other AK47s are prohibited in Canada if you own one up here it’s a safe queen only allowed to look at it.....but we are allowed to legally own valmets.with a barrel long than 18.5 inches it’s classed non restricted and legal to take in the bush and play....I’ve got a m78 762x39.....you boys would shit if you knew what I had ta pay to own it!
**** looking for a red bakelite buttstock for the stamped IACO 56, unnumered Chinese red bakelite bayonet with brass pin, and crome belt clip.****
I wished I would have bought more when they were available. I bought an M62S off my Dad in 1982. Lack of spare parts keeps me from shooting it these days. Those Finns made the best of the AK type rifles.
what would a M78 in 762x39 sell for in the USA these days????

Sure aren’t many to be seen to compare to!,
You can check Gunjokers, there are usually a few way over priced ones floating around there. Most have been there for years.
needs moar AK
I wish I was not such a dumbass back in 1991. I had a chance to but one pretty cheap. I told the guy NO WAY did it come like that. Black furniture up front and a wood buttstock. It must have been abused and the stock replaced. I can't even remember what kind of gun I purchased from the guy. I can however remember (not in a good way) I left the Valmet on the rack. So I made a get me by rifle. :P
I tried to talk aks with the random valmet paper machine engineers i sometimes run into. Most have no idea what I'm talking about
