Assuming you download apps. In over a decade of using smart phones I had this issue yet but I download much of anything. A calculator, a txt app, my banking app and taptalk

I don't download apps either but now it seems phone updates come with app pushes. I've removed Candy Crush off my iphone multiple times. I've never even played the game, not interested in it but it seems to come with every update.

Some of that has to do with your provider. I have Verizon and they were bad about all the bloatware. Coupled with Samsung made it even worse. However, I didn't have issues with the phone reminding me to pick it up. Verizon did get better about allowing the user to delete unwanted apps and a few years ago I switched to Motorola, which has almost no bloatware.

Right now I have maybe 4 or 5 apps including work related stuff. Have never had any reminders or apps being reinstalled

Its going to get worse, much worse. The people and companies that essentially control the internet are nothing less than the regressive left. That post is 7 years old, and things ended up being far worse than I thought it would be. Are you on facebook, twitter, reddit and other platforms like them? If so, consider leaving yesterday.
I agree with you about Facebook and Google. Youtube (owned by Google) limited gun videos and demonetized other videos. Everything posted on Facebook is owned by Facebook. Everything posted on Facebook is not deleted. Even if someone deletes something, Facebook keeps a copy of it.
China has so many cameras that it took only 7 minutes to locate and apprehend a BBC reporter. It was a stunt to show how effective the Chinese governments surveillance system is using facial recognition technology.

You can be tracked as long as you have a cell phone. It is a law all cell phones have GPS technology for 911. I have a network extender at home because of poor cell signal. It stopped working because it was no longer receiving GPS signals. I asked Verizon why the extender is not made without GPS. I was told it is the law for 911 to know where people are. About 4 years ago I had someone throw a rock at my windshield on a highway. I stopped in the road and the 911 dispatcher knew what address I was stopped at by my phone's GPS. I had location service turned off on my iPhone. It was in the news awhile back Apple can track people as long as there is a battery in their phone, even if phone is off.

I have Verizon and an iPhone. I never have reminders from my phone. App settings and reminders can be changed. The push notifications I get are weather related. I mostly have notifications limited to tornado watches and tornado warnings from my 5 weather apps. Seems if I allowed for severe thunderstorms, i get a notice every time it rains. NOAA gets annoying with fog, snow, freeze, and thunderstorm notifications. I find smart phones very useful for various things.

I am not worried about stickers on my car. If a thief wants to know if someone has guns, they can follow people from a gun store or shooting range. I pay attention to my surroundings all the time. If someone was following me I would know it and not drive home. The only thing I don't do is put gun signs or stickers up outside my house. That advertises what is in my house. With the new federal compliant driver's licenses states have to issue, it would not surprise me this could be used to track gun purchases or at least who has a gun by the federal government. CCW holders are tied to driver's license in my state.

This is all I have on my CR-V. I think the bottom sticker would get more attention.
