Did the heavy barrel PSL ever go anywhere? I would still love to get my hands on something reasonably affordable (sorry, no budget for an SV-98  ) in 7.62x54R that was consistent 1 MOA or better using match grade ammo. Pretty much just for range or varmint duty so weight is a total non-issue. I have been looking at the Finnish M28/76 but would much rather have a new-production semi versus a bolt gun.

Wow, I thought all of you folks had forgotten about this.

We have some inbound Romanian Model 1964 parts kits. (RPK) Some of the hardware from the barrel on that rifle combined with some of the FPK/PSL parts, a new receiver and fire control as well as the new heavy 20" barrel should make for a very nice rifle.

This is in the works but has been on the back burner. I hope to have the bugs worked out in a couple of months and will post here first.

Don't suppose you'll be selling any of those Romy RPK kits as-is will you? If so, I'm interested in one.

Sorry but we will not be selling any of the Model 1964 kits.

Thanks for asking.

So are all these barrels fluted or will the ones going on the RPK be original dimensions?

I ask because with the RPK kits that Apex are selling, some of us will be looking for a barrel option with home builds. GM is selling "light weight" barrels, and some of us, well, I imagine most of us are going to be looking for standard dimension barrels for these.

Would be nice to have some uncut options to turn down!
Want to buy:
TYPE 1 PARTS. Have kits, receivers to trade.
Serbian M76 sniper vest (M-99 A3)

Gun ownership IS a civil right.

Is this still an active project, or have plans been shelved for now?

I am interested in the heavy barrel PSL as well. Let me know when you will be building them. Can I put my name in for serial number 001.

Thanks,
Scott E.

This project is still on the "to do list". We will make an announcement here on the AK forum when the rifle is in full produciton.

Thanks to all of the folks that have inquired.
