Newbie help needed

Postby 04ZREX » Fri Dec 10, 2010 2:42 am

K-Var has the following listed on their website. What do they call the plunger or pin or what ever they call the part that's missing, which holds the triangle buttstock in place. I can't seem find that part on their website. I have the triangle buttstock already, just need the remaining parts for a Kyber Pass build. Any help is much appreciated.

I can't find just the hinge pin, either. If you're doing a Khyber, though, it would be totally appropriate to just wing it. I know people here have done it so you can probably get some advice on what to use and how to do it. *shrug*

hello, kvar plunger may be refering to the rear stock latch, spring and spring retainer pin.the stock hinge pin comes in 4.5 mm or 5.5mm.it is easy to make a hinge pin with a piece of rod stock or drill bit and a file and drill to reduce rod stock to correct diameter. none of these parts are in the posted photo.good luck steves :animak:

One day I will have a nice collection of AKs... instead of a nice collection of cardboard boxes.
