I am awaiting that phone call.

Zastava rarely has guns sitting in storage, they want a contract from you and then they manufacture them.
    Contracts are usually 1,000+ units.

CUGIR does manufacture barrels for AK's and PSL, PKM's etc., and currently ALL that they produce are allocated to production guns.
It is my understanding that CUGIR has been filling "Goverment" orders for over a year now, and charging real money for every gun that they produce!
I forget the exact number but it was between $500-$600 per AKM.
Even new production magazines were $12 to $14 each my cost from CUGIR.
We were offered used / issued surplus AK mags that remain in Romania, but the samples we saw were in really poor shape and not worth buying and shipping here.

I hate to put this out there on here, I know you have a forwarder but if you are moving any of this stuff demilled already I am an Account Manager for a freight broker, Air/Ocean/Rail/Truck... International and domestic as well as in house customs clearance.

Good to hear on the kits

See if you can get these from Cugir. I wrote them a letter and they didn't respond... imagine that. I told them I would purchase 100 sets which may not be worth it to them.

Demilled M21 kits are available from time to time in the EU, but may not be released in large enough numbers to make it commercially viable to export/import here.

None are being offered to us.
That last batch had been in the works for years, and we only purchased a few hundred.
Another outfit bought all the rest.
Everything recently has been small lots, when compared to the numbers we used to handle.

About the only kits in quantity are CETME Model L!

However, in the category list, there is no "what's new"

    Not at the top:

    Not alphabetically:

    OH, that is my mistake.
I looked at the mobile version of the website, NOT the APP.
I will send that question to the developers, and let you know what I learn.

Richard I know they would never be importable but have you ever been offered Chinese guns or Albanian made AK's as kits?

You get a lot of stuff out of the Balkans and Chi Com rifles were pretty common. Especially in places like Albania.
Oh god and his infinite wisdom would never have ordained that!

Years ago (2005 or 2006?) there was a large shipment of AK's that left the Balkans (by ship) and arrived in the UK.
AMNESTY International was watching and documenting the entire story of these AK's even before they left the arms depot for the European port.
A US importer was working with the UK company who owned that shipment and in turn checked with some of their reseller's to see if they would be willing to buy large lots of these kits.
Well, word got around and another / larger US importer also went directly after that deal using the capital they had at their disposal and bought everything.
When the people working for the US importer arrived and started handling the guns they became aware of all the mix of AK's that they were handling.
Since APEX was being offered selected lots of these kits by the US Importer we "heard" about certain types of AK's that were being examined at that storage site.
The US Importer separated out the Russian, Chinese and Albanian AK's and made sure NONE of these got into the shipment that was heading for the USA.
We were told that the British Police and the people from AMNESTY International also watched over everything very carefully and were determined to ensure no mistakes were made.
Everything was checked and counted quite thoroughly before the containers were sealed and shipped to the USA.
I remember we received Egyptian, Bulgarian, Romanian, Yugoslavian and East German kits out of that deal.
Some must have gotten into the Balkans war thru "non-standard" methods as the trunnion markings and serial numbers had been sanitized.
A great many of those guns had seen a LOT of use and some interesting things had been done to them.
So, a lot of history in that shipment, it was an exciting time!

I know the deal with Ghina, who cares right. No one would buy the kits anyway.

I am unfamiliar with Albania though, why can't these be imported?

The only hiccup with Albanian stuff is that it is confused with Chinese. Historically, additional effort has to be put in, to "convince" a certain "governing authority" that they are not Chinese origin. Other wise, they ARE importable.

Every import has a paper trail, origin documents, in-transit permits, end-user certificates,,,etc,,,etc...
Some countries document well and have good records, other countries, well, I have been told it can be a challenge!
If the papers get challenged and prove to be wrong / incorrect / not authentic then the importer can loose all the material!
You are just out, and there will be penalties to face, and additional charges regarding the storage of your shipment.
Sometimes it winds up in court, it just is going to cost the importer more money.

SO, smart people choose their deals carefully and part of that is knowing who you can trust overseas.
Trust BUT verify is how we used to say it in the US Army!

    Weaponmark,

Just added a widget showing what's new. The App will need to index and update, so it only shows a few products right now, I'll keep an eye on it to make sure it continues to work -Josh
