I do not remember APEX ever selling these before.
Usually the AK's from this plant/country are underfolders.
We didn't buy many from the importer because we are after the "next" thing...

I agree with the others on the AR stuff. Retro would be nice, I bought one of the Commando uppers from you before you ran out. Do you expect any more of those? The 870 kits are sweet too. I highly recommend them. Do what you need to stay in business, I remember buying $80 Romy G kits from Jeff when Michelle was packing orders on a folding table freezing with two little kids running around in the telecom building. At that time no one ever thought guys would be paying $550 for a Romy G kit with intact barrel, but they are. That thought came to mind when I read what Richard said about kits going for prices he won't pay. I understand completely, but there are a finite amount of kits and then there will be no more. Who of us doesn't wish we bought more kits 'in the good old days back when they were cheap'? Kits are cheap now, compared to what they will be in a couple years, if we can get them. Right now I'm putting my retirement money into my 401k-pex . Some day the only option may be building from all-new US made parts with crazy tacticool stuff dressed up to look like ARs. Then guys will get tired of that and build 'retro' AKs from new parts. Have you tried looking for odd parts lately? The well is running dry and prices are going up, if you can find what you need.

Apex has always provided good products at competitive prices, with great customer service backing them up. I hope Apex can continue to find the products we've been craving all these years, and find new products for us to buy and build we didn't even know we needed.

    Thanks,

I swear, if it's Hungarian, please give us a little wink and a heads up first. I will literally pawn some stuff and but it back later to make sure I can get one.

I'm already in for one and I don't know what it is. Sounds like a fixed stock though and I prefer fixed stocks. Time to start saving!

Please let us know (on this forum) when this new kit comes in.

    Thank you.

Guys, he gave us a very fair hint. There is a list out there of the kits Apex has sold over the years. It's an AKM and it's most likely not on that list. Get out your books and put on your thinking caps. We can always speculate behind the scenes

    North Korean kit
    Serbian M76 sniper vest (M-99 A3)

If I was not on some government watch list, I'd be insulted.

Can you at least say what the large deal was that didn't go through?

I think those are still a little too new for Poland to chop up.

This is what I'm hoping. I have an extra underfolder I was going to build into one, but I'd rather not if I can get a legit AMM. All I need after that is an AK-55 and AKM-63 and I'll have covered all my Hungarian bases aside from a few very rare bits.

When FEG went out of business years ago that was the end of Hungarian produced AK's of any type.
I believe some European bank now owns the remaining assets of the company.
APEX had a couple thousand of the AK63-D kits, which we decided to move quickly and not keep any.
