I really have to get that set up. Unfortunately I have no please to store it. As of now I'm still stuck with the turkey fryer/commercial cooler set up. And of course waiting for carbonation takes forever

Some of the electric setups combined with bib have very small foot print. Not a bad way to go for home brewing IMHO.

the new SS mesh filter werkd well

I was having issues getting mash particles into the boil pot and then into my plate chiller, not good.

For the next brew I have one of the heavy duty nylon brew bags and hope to eliminate any particle carry over by 100%. Had to reconfigure the mash tun but it may let me crush even finer and raise my efficiency a bit.

What about hop particles? how fine is that mesh, and it does not clog?

They make a 300 micron ss mesh filter for hop pellets, i have two and they work well also.

There is a lot of surface area so its pretty hard to clog.

Utah Biodiesel makes them. They are top notch.

Yup, the off flavors that can happen are not so good, the worst is shit clogging up my plate chiller reducing the flow and gunk growing in it that could contaminate an entire batch.

OK, makes sense. I haven't tried the plate chiller so I guess it comes with its own issues.

Much respect to all you home brewers!

I'd make something that looked like whole wheat Merita that had been soaked in water for a year!

.... and tasted like it too!

Kinda bummed out today. Made a triple last month. Tried a bottle two weekss ago and it definitely needed more time to mature but was good and showed promise. tried another bottle last night (4 weeks). Ehhh... seems to have gone downhill. Maybe it was just me. I'll let it sit for a while but I have a feeling its kaput!

For those who know it, it was an attempt at making Orval.

Afterwards I decided to use the same yeast (WL 510) to make a pale ale. Only been 2 weeks. Tried a bottle. Jury is still out on that
