I get mine today so I will post pictures after I get home from work and my girlfriend finishes beating me.

Maybe someone that knows my cell will send me a text that explains the FREE kit I got in the mail. Hopefully I can snag the receipt off of it.

    Get em while they're hot.

Also, the rumors are correct. The pre 1970 kits were Palm swell originally so I expect to see a 70's kit today. There are some with reverse lowers in them but they are not the original handguard that came on the gun.

I have heard that a Romanian muzzle nut can be buffed up for a nice ring? Dunno?

She isn't that small. She is young but not young enough to wear a muzzle nut.

Ok guys. I got my 1969 matching kit 100% matching too, very nice patina. Every damn part that can match, matches. I will get home and clean it up and post pics. The dong was most likely added later. But it is cool. Well worth the money.

The wood is really dirty, I will see how it cleans up.

Keep in mind that I meticulously clean every single part when I pack a kit to go in my "collection".
I spent almost two hour cleaning the crap off the wood and parts. For the most part the actual gun was well maintained, no rust or any high worn/beat up parts. The lower hand guard was almost black when I started though and the pistol grip was nasty. I will detail the matching parts below.

    Details:
    1969 MD65 BH3982
Names/Initials and notches carved in the LHG

    Matching:
    Trunnion
    Rear sight
    Carrier
    Bolt
    Top
    Recoil rod
    Hammer
    Sear
    Gas tube

So my kit matches, I am really happy about that. It sucks that my lower looks like a beaver ate it. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I am going to bet the earlier kits will be more worn. I think some of the glamour shots were 70's kits. I may see what Bachir has.

I think so too. I just wish it had a misspelled cuss word on the side.

Like FUCC or SHYT, I just pulled it back out and I like it. If it came on the gun fucc it. The kit has cool honest wear and I just have to fake wear only the receiver finally. I'm going to roll with it.

    I have enough "pretty" projects.
