You're probably gonna shoot me for this but, how do i tell a Maadi from any other AK if they don't have that glossy clearcoated stock most of them seems to have?

    Maadi AKM

Peter, Maadis have a real distinct finish. They have a real sloppy black paint they put on their rifles they call a finish. People say that it is durable though. The lower hg also has a distinct honey brown, while the upper is a dark cherry red/burgundy. Export Maadis have a shiny black plastic grip like mine, and pre ban Maadis have a chocolate brown pistol grip. Other than that, it's supposed to be the closest copy we can get to a Russian AKM, cause they are built on Russian tooling.

Maadi RPM, no, I didn't chrome it, I bought it like that at a local pawn for $225 in 1998. The drum and 40 rounder cost me more than the rifle. The stock set is Murphy's Custom curly maple.

Kracken thats a "Gator Git'r" If I ever saw one for down Louisiana way, whare ddi you get a matching stock to your upper HG?

Same for your "Stump Shooter" Arkie, where did your lower HG matching stock come from.

It came that way. It's the original wood. I bought the gun unfired from a guy who ordered it brand new.

Depending on the lighting, it matches perfect sometimes and sometimes not.
