This is why God made men. And men made pawn shops.

If tires are a pressing issue, see if the store will allow you to put the rifle on layaway. The chances of you ever running into a Polytech milled again for that price are pretty slim. These typically go for 2K plus depending on things like condition, original box, and accessories.

A lot of these scammers are copying photos from GunBroker and listing them on armslist at very low ridiculous price. For example I acquired about a poly legend with box for $1800 in Midland. The seller was a FFL and wanted me to send the money to his wife in Killeen. I told him I would drive to him with cash to do transfer and never heard back from him. I'm sure there's good deals on Armslist, but only do a local FTF.

The OP stated it was from a local custom shop, so I doubt its a scam since he can go the store, handle it and inspect it before buying it.

I'm bad....I missed the 5th reply. Maybe the OP can post some photos, so we can help identify the poly from the lgs.

Here's a couple photos of someone scamming a photo off GunBroker. I did notify the GB seller.

I've done that...many times! If I only saw this listed online, I would be suspicious as well.
