How do you tell an original Bulgarian AK-74 muzzle brake from a U.S. made one?
Here's the deal:
I have a couple of the ISD Bulgaria made AK-74 rifles that were imported a few years back by InterOrdnance.
These are factory made at the ISD Bulgaria facility in Sofia, Bulgaria, using original Bulgarian AK-74 parts kits with a new production semi-auto Bulgarian receiver, but were built using a non-chrome lined U.S. made barrel.
I have read some reports that these also used a U.S. made AK-74 muzzle brake.
The brakes on my rifles are zig-zag pattern that appear to be chrome lined and have no markings on them.
Is there any way to tell if these are original Bulgarian, or U.S. made?
If they are original Bulgarian they will of course stay, but if they are U.S. made parts I will replace them with Bulgarian ones.
UPDATE: Photos added.
