OK, I've been researching this and reading several old threads but no one seems to know for sure. Are the "D" marked rear sights coming in on the SLR107s and SAM rifles actually Bulgarian or are they Chinese as some have claimed? K-Var's website claims they are Bulgarian. I am of the presumption that the Bulgies switched to the "D" on their 7.62 rifles for whatever reason. Maybe export reasons? I'm not sure why Arsenal Inc. would switch out the rear sights that came from the factory on the rifles for Chinese made ones. That doesn't add up to me.
The "D" marked sight is correct for a 7.62 ARM9F? Even a domestic rifle or would the cyrillic "N" marked sights be correct? Does anyone have pics or have a source for the night sights? Are they like the meprolight trijicon tritium sights?
I am sure there is a pattern/logic to it, but I cannot figure out what it is. The factory doesn't seem to want to answer historical / technical type questions. The "sales samples" that they let me photograph were "mock ups", so they told me not use them to try to get "historical" information. While the gun may have been dated, 1999 for example, it has been upgraded to the latest configuration with the latest accessories, etc.

Thank you! Are those small holes for vials of tritium? So those are the night sights too?
