    How knows what this is?

Gunbroker auction number 621503525. Sorry my link skills are not good. I bought one of these twenty years ago and never really knew what I had. Any ideas?

i meant to say "who", but can't edit the title.

Just found some info., they are called "the rabbit" and we're from the 90's and used on shotguns. Considered cheap and crude.

Anyone have any experience with them?

Since it's not a "lol gunbroker amirite" thread.. and since it's probably not a hot commodity.. I hope its okay to post a link.

Looks like a very early and/or crude version of the Kobra.

Kinda looks like a Kobra that mounts via pic rail screw clamps yo a side mount like the PK-01V 30mm ring mount.

Has anyone ever seen anything like this before?

It's a Rusak (means hare as in rabbit) reflex made by Kazan. They were made for civilian and export sales. It screws onto a skinny weaver type rail. You zero it by loosening the flat head screw shown in picture four and moving the lens around until it's centered. Fidgety adjustment, but it wasn't made for the military after all.

Yep I have a couple of those RUSAKs that I bought in Germany in 1993/94-it uses a very small rail type mounting not as wide as a picatinney or weaver rail- it is some strange narrow European size. I want to say like 6mm or 8mm I cannot remember the exact size though.

Thanks for the imput. I bought a Norinco top cover with the skinny dovetail rail/mount on it back in the day to use it. I remember it being difficult to sight in, but I was twenty years younger then and like to think I know more now. I need to dig it out and see if it still works.
