IIRC the comp are sporting grade any the M series is military. You may want to search aimpoints website though.

I just bought an ML3. It's really a nice sight. Plus, the battery life is incredibly longer than the M2.

CompM2 = older version of the USGI M68 optic

The ML2 is the civvie version, not night vision compatible, not submersable past 15 meters.

The CompM3 is the upgraded version of the M2, longer battery life.

The CompML3 is the civvie version of the CompM3.

The CompM4 = new version of the USGI M68 optic.

Then you also have the CompC, which is the bare bones version of the ML2 but still a very reliable, viable optic.

*edit to add, he probably doesn't know WHICH CompM he has, 2, 2L, 3, 3L....*

    Any better pic?

That could be the daddy of the M2, in which case, yeah, battery life isn't all that great.

Actually the M2 and ML2 have the same waterproof specifications and are submersible to 25 meters. The M3 and ML3 are both submersible to 45 meters.

I was under the impression that the only difference between the M2 and ML2, and then the M3 and ML3, was that the M versions are NV capable while the ML versions are not. Other than that they are identical.
