    Great pics all!

Anyone got any tip about how to make the wood look really used?
I was thinking of maybe sand it down abit and then use motoroil over it and then put it under mud in the garden for a week, would that work?

My second build: A 1974 Romanian kit from Apex, done Khyber Pass style, but with the original wood. I like the forward grip when the stock is folded. Since some people call this grip a donkey dong, I call this rifle the "Donkey Pass".

Adding a new photo with the matching magazine, but wow, I have to distress that sling a bit!

Update 11/27/2008: Bought her a new lower HG, so now she's a true KP BFPU. Been out to the range a few times like this, but this is the first photo I've taken. Sorry the lighting sucks, but I spent the daylight hours raking leaves today.

How do you guys give your receivers the worn look? I'm building a Romy G that I want to pretty much leave alone as far as the existing finish goes, but I don't want the new receiver to stand out like a sore thumb.

A green brillo pad and CLP is what I use. Just go slowly and hit the high points. It does not take much pressure or time. I usually wipe the receiver down several times to assess the look.

I really like the look of these rifles, all the marks of battle, and history on them.
