Washington Post Article on Guns and Straw Purchasers

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/co ... =rss_metro

At least they do recognize that it's straw purchasers doing the buying and that criminals prefer cheap handguns, not "assault" rifles. Still the typical biased Washington Post article.

Re: Washington Post Article on Guns and Straw Purchasers

so 2,371 gun crimes in 12 years from a pool of over 800,000 guns? In this sample, the crime rate among those guns is only .00296% And this is from the top 40 "crime" gun dealers?

Out of those 2371 gun crimes, only 40 were homicides. 40 out of 800,000 and thats the "highest crime" dealers. So .00005% of the guns sold were used to kill somebody. If this country ever outlaws guns based on killings, they better outlaw cars, knives, baseball bats, and basically anything else that can be used as a weapon.

Someone should take the numbers from all the other gun dealers and calculate a standard deviation, but that would probably prove a point against what the article is trying to do.

HAHA, 2 of the gun dealers are in my city. It always makes me laugh to see the amount of homies walking into Bob's gun shop saying "yo yo dawg, look at that heater with the 15 shot clip!!!!" And the guys behind the counter are always happy to let them handle the pistols and go over the function and handling.

I hardly buy guns anymore. When I do, I go to the Marine Corps exchange.
